Recycling Plastic Glasses

All the plastic glasses that we list here on Plastic-Glasses.com are made from 1 of 4 plastic, polypropylene (PP #5), polystyrene (PS #6), polycarbonate and SAN (Other #7). All of these plastics are recyclable and will be stamped somewhere with one of the 3 recycling logos above.

Nearly all local councils will accept plastics as part of their recycling program but are quite specific with the types of plastic that they will accept.

Among the most common and more recyclable plastics are PET (#1) which is used to make drinks bottles and HDPE (#2) which is used to make milk bottles. The remaining plastics (including the ones stated above) can more difficult to recycle so it is best to check with your local council as to which plastics they accept.

We are hoping to get a list of places that accept our plastic glasses for recylcing on the site soon.
